As a Director of Product, I lead teams, shape strategy, and drive product vision, and I genuinely enjoy every part of this role. In addition to guiding products at work, I also build my own products on the side. I have launched three software products that generate ongoing revenue, handling everything from idea and design to development, launch, and customer support. I enjoy combining creativity and strategy to build products that truly help users and make an impact.
As the director of product, I’m overseeing all of Symanto’s AI solutions powered by the latest NLP research. Being the interface to our globally distributed research and engineering teams, it’s my responsibility to test new algorithms in the market, develop prototypes with early adopters and eventually prepare them for product launch.
Being in charge of the entire product portfolio, I engaged closely with the leading heads at ITONICS to maintain our competitive position in the market of innovation management software. For me, working closely with our development team is as important as collecting input and feedback from our project managers, sales team and clients.
With excellent interdisciplinary skills in IT management I was the perfect fit for ITONICS to successfully deliver projects and satisfy the needs of the clients and the business. Being responsible for the end-to-end software development process, I was able to deliver to national and international clients from a wide range of industries.
At Capgemini, I worked in delivery management of a large software development project for the public sector. I learned a lot about hybrid software development (a combination of V-Model and Scrum) and eventually wrote my master thesis about performance monitoring in hybrid software development projects at Capgemini.
As a Hilti Fellow, I worked at the applications and services department at Hilti in Vaduz where I learned about the operations in internal IT departments. I supported the team with a conceptional development and implementation of a CIO Dashboard, an IT Innovations Portfolio, and other Sharepoint sites.
I worked at the IT project and services department of Dematic gaining valuable insights into the process of developing large-scale software projects. I supported the development team by implementing add-ons for the warehouse management system (WMS). In addition, I built an Android application for managers to obtain information about the status of the WMS.
The IIS program at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg brings together participants from all around the world. It allows for an intercultural experience that focuses on the international aspects of information systems management. The Faculty of Engineering has challenged but also encouraged me to develop my skills and reach my potential.
The Hilti Fellowship was developed jointly by the Hilti Corporation and the Hilti Chair of Business Process Management. The programme is a combination of practical training at Hilti and academic study at the University of Liechtenstein, designed to create the cornerstone for a successful future.
The completion of an approved study program at QUT has not only awarded me the QUT Study Abroad Certificate but has also provided me with invaluable multi-cultural experiences. In two major group assignments I had the chance to enhance my analytical understanding, my communication skills and my organisational talent.
As a graduate student of the University of Applied Sciences, Hof in Germany, I have received a particularly well-rounded education in IT. With a focus on Business Information Systems, my interest in developing and implementing enhanced business solutions grew drastically over the years.
